Spring Cleaning

Like every home, the church building needs a good spring cleaning too.  Volunteers are requested to help keep the Lord's house spiffy on Saturday, May 5th from 8am - 12 noon.  Plenty of inside and outside work for everyone.  Please sign up on the bulletin board or just show up.

Mother- Daughter Tea

Immediately after worship on May 6th, all women and girls are invited to tea and a light lunch to celebrate being daughters and mothers.

Help Needed

Looking for an opportunity to put your writing skills to work or just want to give writing a try? Well look no more!! A new feature in the newsletter allows our congregation to get to know each other a little better. If you like to interview a congregation member, give Karen Botkin or Lee Jackson a call.

Shenandoah District Disaster Auction

Help make a difference in the lives of those affected by a natural disaster.  Support the 20th Annual Shenandoah District Disaster Auction on May 18th and 19th at the Rockingham County Fair Grounds.  Many wonderful items up for auction, in addition to ready to purchase goods, as well, lots of yummy food.

Piecemakers Putting It Together

The Piecemakers meet from 10:00 AM until noon weekly on Tuesday. This group of hand quilters finishes tops provided by members of the Piecemakers for charitable causes, usually for either the Disaster Relief auction or the Bridgewater Fall Festival auction. The group is also open to finishing quilt tops for individuals for a charge per yard of thread used. The cost of this work depends on the size of the quilt and the amount of quilting desired. The Piecemakers will mark, assemble, hand quilt, and bind the quilt. The individual engaging the work may choose where they wish the proceeds to go and are not limited to the aforementioned causes. The Piecemakers welcome those who may be interested in hand quilting and will instruct novices. Currently the Piecemakers are working on behalf of the Bridgewater Home Quilters on a quilt with a dahlia motif. The group is hoping to complete their work on this project in time for the quilt to be auctioned at the Bridgewater Home Fall festival this September. All those interested in the needle arts are invited to share in the work of the Piecemakers.Spring Cleaning
